Life is precious

Life is but a bundle of emotions.Happy, sorrow, ecstasy etc.Emotions are not born out of isolation but are born out of the situations we undergo.People around us are also a factor to it.They not only say about things which makes us happy but also which can make us feel sick & sad.
For example QUESTIONS!!!
People put us through a lot of questions many times.Though we may not be responsible to answer them all the time but these questions do make us feel very awkward. Those who put these Q 's may just feel it very normal or just because they are concerned about us.But sometimes, some Q's just really hurts us & we keep searching for words to answer them or excuses to run away from that place without answering them.

See some commom Q's........................

A small kid is asked what he would become when he grows up?
"Tell me cutie baby, would u become an engineer or a doctor when u grow up?"
The poor kid even doesn't understand what the Q. is about and answers it as said by his parents.

As soon as the kid is in school & even as his college studies are about to complete Q's about his job surfaces. If he is lucky enough to find a job that's great, but if not the questioning torture welcomes him where ever he goes.
"Dear, what about your job trails? My uncle's cousins daughters brother-in-law got it in some company. Why don't u try there? Contact some Mr.X.He may help you etc etc."
The poor chap hides himself under his bed & never even dare to attend any family function or get together.

As he successfully finds a job after alot of struggle, folks around him keep on asking only one question"When are the marriage bells going to ring?? Have u started looking for any marriage
proposal or not? When will u tie the knot?Ever thing has to be done in proper time. Still u didn't find any suitable match!!??i know some proposals etc etc...."

The poor souls has to do a matrix feat to escape answering all these Q's.

At last he finds his soul-mate & they start their happy life.Even as they are just back from their honey-moon,in-laws,uncles,aunts,friends,colleagues,neighbours, milk boy, paper boy, saloon boy,
who not, every one they know feel it as it is their greatest responsibility to ask them only one big Q.& as if it is the only bothering Q in the world
" When are you telling us the good news?Family is not complete without kids.Do some prayers & perform these rituals, consult a doc etc. etc. etc...."
The poor couple doesn't know how to satisfy others with their answers. They helplessly face these Q's & get fed up answering where ever they go and are forced to avoid these people.

See how strange life is.Though we think that we are the boss of our lives but yet it is controlled by the society because society feels that every person here has the moral responsibility to answer to its questions. We have learned to live with it because we are the society & we are nothing without these same people who some times bother us because they are our best friends, our relatives, our well-wishers,our good old neighbours, our childhood friends, our helpful colleagues & most importantly these are the people who feel concerned for us.

So leave behind all their bothering questions by not paying tooooo much attention to it.Just take it lightly because the society is as such.Even u too never knew for how many times u have bothered others with ur questions.

Life is precious & short lived.Take our life into your hands.
Live happily & let others too live happliy.

Friends,

Why can't we be true???
Why can't we be free???
Why are we hypocrites???though we may not agree....

We say we all are one
All humans are brothers & sisters
Then why do bombs & guns make their noises around the world???

"Who is rich & who is poor?
We all are but equal before law"
Isn't this what we said time & again but your heart knows the truth!!!

We say we respect women & care for children
But why is she made a doll for pleasure
And see children work under hot sun in dust???

Why is there a war for power???
Why the quest for nuclear know-how???
Why is terror & bloodshed our neighbour???

Awake! Arise! Let we become WARRIORS
not of power & muscle but of PEACE & LOVE
let's stand up for the cause of real brotherhood

TAILOR WORRIES!!!

Gosh!!!!!!!
I am vexed.World seems to move very fast and so does our lives.Much is demanded from us both at work & at home. While we manage to do all the work that is dumped on us,some petty things just bother us & act like a stone in our slipper & make us restless. The point here is about my tailor.
I gave him 2 materials to stitch dresses for me in some distant past with a promise that i would get them in a week. Many weeks passed but the work unattended.I also paid a visit to his shop (it's a very long drive from my place).Till this date it's unattended. He has some excuse for all the bloody things in the world. He never answers the phone & keeps it switched off most of the time.(may be he is afraid to hear the scoldings of all his customers).
Many of you might have faced similar situations. You are not allowed to give excuses at your work place & at the same time have to carry the pain of listening to continuous excuses from the people whom you engage for your works like the tailor,plumber,electrician,dry-wash guy etc........

I think its better to leave the slipper than to walk with a stone in it.But we CAN'T!!! We are helpless.

How long has it been since u last read a good book?

Friends,
Today, the 23rd of April carries a specialty.
It's 'THE WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY'.Also a symbolic date for world literature.
How many of us know this?To say the truth, i was also not aware of it until i happened to read about it while going through the pages of the morning newspaper.I also read that it was observed on this particular day because it was either a birth day or a death day of some prominent international authors. Also in some parts of the world, a rose was given as gift for each book sold.

Do the people really mind this information & celebrate this day, by reading at least a small paragraph of a book ???

I don't think so!!!!We are interested only to celebrate days like Valentines day.Isn't it???

How long has it been since u last read a good book?

Do u think technology & internet can really be a substitute for the feel you experience from book-reading??? Book-reading is fast fading away from our lives. This can be a dangerous trend.

Take an oath to keep it alive.Do u part. Spare at least some time of your busy schedule to read a good book. The happiness you are going to achieve after you complete reading a good book would be awesome.Try it.

Hai folks,

Once upon a time there lived a great sage(guru). He travelled around the world preaching good to the people. He was very humble & always walked on foot. One early winter morning he was going through a forest with one of his disciples. On the way, they came across a river. There was a beautiful young woman standing at the river. She requested the sage to help her cross the river as she is very afraid to step into the freezing cold water. The sage lifted her in his hands & carried her across the river. The woman thanked him very much and went her way.

The disciple who was witnessing all this couldn't digest the fact that his guru( master) touched a young woman when he always preached to be away from woman & earthly possessions. He wanted to ask his guru but hesitated. They continued walking.

Next morning, the disciple came to the sage to ask him but again hesitated. The sage then asked him the matter. Finally, the disciple spoke out his mind.

Can u guess what the sage replied to him????

He said....

"I dropped her yesterday morning itself, but my dear son! have you been still carrying her"

It means:
The sage is very pure at heart & he carried the woman only to help her & forgot it then itself.
But the disciple couldn't properly understand his master & the real meaning of his teachings.
No one preaches not to help a person.Only because it was a woman asking for help, the master cannot just ignore her request. The disciple was ignorant of this fact & had been worrying all this time.He could have clarified it then itself. But he didn't.So,it was indeed the disciple's mistake & he was carrying the woman all this time in his head.

Sree Rama Navami

Hello Friends,

Sreerama Navami(Birthday of Lord Rama) was celebrated throughout the country with lot of devotion. In South Indian temples SreeRama Kalyanotsavam (Marriage of Lord Rama with Seeta) is celebrated. The ritual is performed not only in big temples but also in every small temple.Prasad is made of soaked Moong Dal+Sugar mixture called 'Vadapappu' & a sweet drink made by dissolving sugar/jaggery in water & adding elachi/black pepper powder to it and this drink is called 'Paanakam'.Devotees gather in very large numbers to view the marriage of god.The priests perform the ritual amid Veda mantroccharana (recital of Vedas & mantras). The kalyanotsavam is perfectly conducted with events like Kanyadanam(to give goddess Sita hand into Lord Rama's),Subhamuhurtham(mixture of jaggery & jeera kept on heads of Rama & Sita, which signifies that how the jaggery sticks with jeera, so will we be as a couple), Mangalyadharana(to tie the sacred mangalsutra made of golden sutras,(they look round in shape & size of a 50 paise coin) tied to yellow thread/gold chain in the neck of goddess Sita by Lord Rama),Muthyala thalambralu{white pearls/white rice grains/rice grains mixed with Haldi(yellow colored) or Kumkum(red colored) powders are poured on heads of the couple}.The priests carry all these rituals to the idols of Lord Rama & Goddess Sita on behalf of both of them.

Bhadrachalam,
a very famous temple in South India situated on the
banks of river Godavari in Khammam district of AndhraPradesh,India
conducts thisKalyanotsavam on a very large scale.Lakhs of devootes come
from various parts of the country to participate in this festival. Here the
temple was constructed byBhakta Ramadasa( a devotee of Lord Rama)
in 17th century A.D.

Lord' Rama's Temple in Bhardachalam

On behalf of the Government of AndhraPradesh, the Chief minister offers 'Pattuvasthralu' (clothes-sari & dhoti made of golden zari) & Muthyala thalambralu to lord.

One must be present in these festivals to view its glory.

Early morning,I performed puja(worship of god) in my house & offered prasadam- vadapappu & panakam & went to a near-by temple & had the opportunity of participating in the kalyanotsavam. My heart was immersed with prayers of Lord Rama & my lips began to sing...

"Sree Rama Jai Rama Jaiya Jaiya Rama
Sree Rama Jai Rama Jaiya Jaiya Rama"

ARE INDIANS DYING?

Friends,

I want to share with you what happened just a few minutes back...

Our dhobi came to my house to give our pressed clothes. While going away, she began to speak something that i couldn't get.Again she started repeating it in a particular slang language & its gist is...
"Some particular region people are coming to this place, working hard ,earning 'lots' of money, buying properties like buildings, lands & therefore lands rates are increasing here and we, the people of this place are unable to buy anything. So ,those people should not be allowed to come here."

I was clueless at her talking like this.I wanted to explain to her that her perception is incorrect.
But again as i was very busy with my house-work,I let it go.But even if i take the risk & task of explaining to her, ruining my work,I know she wouldn't understand it.

Why would she have to understand it in the first place? She is not literate like our politicians. When our so-called intellectual brains & politicians in our country are favoring separation of states or asking people of other states to get out of their states, (separation of Telengana from AndhraPradesh & MNS in Maharastra threatening U.P., Bihar & other states people....etc)
why should this poor lady have to understand???
I let her go thinking it was "dhobitics" just like politics.

One more thing i would like to share...
The other day, i was going through some blogs & i happened to see a blog of some 37 yr old lady lawyer of Mumbai in which she writes about some tips to remember while in Mumbai & its like this.....
  • if u are belonging to U.P or Bihar, be prepared to face criticism etc.
  • if u r someone from south be prepared to be referred to as 'black' & laughed at ur slang hindi...
  • She says that she don't even want to explain what a Madras person is like?
DAMN SHE!!!What does she want to say???

I am not from Madras or U.P or Bihar but i have felt very angry at what she wrote?
Is it sensible of her to write all this considering her age, education & knowledge???

COME ON???
Is the concept of ONENESS & UNITY dying in us???
Are we not INDIANS ???
Have forgot the lessons we learned as a child..."Unity in Diversity"????
Do we better prefer to be associated with regionalism???
Do we remember that we are Indians only when we watch cricket????

Is the word "INDIAN" fading away & is it going to die soon????
Anybody,Please answer me.

My first hello

My dear friend,my blog....
It was from a long time i wanted to meet you but hadn't.It's said better late than never. So,let me tell you my first 'hello'.
A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step.
Hope our first step of friendship transforms into a long cherished journey.
You may ask me"Why ME?Don't you have humans out there in the world to make friends???"
My dear, Of course, i do have friends. But we humans have become very busy...busy with our work, own commitments, own problems....that we lack time even to talk freely to a friend other than just wishing a hai! or bye!
I have become a machine.......the same old routine...chasing the clock...running rat race.... analysing past, planning for future and unfortunately & sadly 'forgetting' to live in the present.
My heart has been crying very loud since longtime but my ears pretended not to hear.My heart was always saying"Make me free".Freedom from all the hassles of the world,inhibitions,fear.... to a place where it can be true to itself.
Where can such a place be other than yours...your 'home'?
Who can such a friend be other than 'you'?

You are eager to...
listen to me...
share my feelings...
lessen my worries...
increase my happiness...
understand my thoughts...
speak my voice...& most importantly give
freedom to my 'self'...
Just like the colors of a rainbow, our friendship should fascinate the world.
Let us both unite in saluting the great Rabindranath Tagore who said...
"Where mind is without fear...
Where knowledge is free...

Where words come from depth of truth...

Into that heaven of freedom,my father, let my country awake..."

At last this is my place....MY BLOG where i can do justice to my inner voice and free myself from all the so called invisible barriers of the world created by no other but by us... humans.
Dedicated
To all those who agree* ...
To all those who don't agree*...

*
with my perceptions,thoughts,feelings,opinions...whatever!!!
